What We Publish

InfoBites Research toolkits are not blog posts. They are structured compliance reference documents — the kind of thing you'd commission from a specialist consultant, but available at a fraction of the cost and accessible the moment you need it.

Each toolkit covers a single regulatory domain in depth: the legal framework, the agencies involved, the filing sequences, the language you'll encounter, and the professional tools to execute. We include worksheets, checklists, and calculators because knowing the rules is not the same as being able to act on them.

Our first publication — the Costa Rica STR Toolkit — covers short-term rental compliance for foreign nationals operating on Airbnb or VRBO in Costa Rica. It is the most complete operational compliance guide we are aware of for this market and this audience.

The Research Methodology

Every InfoBites Research toolkit is built on three layers: direct operational experience in the market, review of primary source materials (legislation, agency portals, official guidance), and vetting against current regulatory status before publication.

We read the actual laws. We navigate the actual portals. Where source materials are in Spanish, we work with them directly — not through translation services or secondary summaries. We note when rules have changed recently and flag areas where verification with a licensed professional is particularly important.

Toolkits are updated when significant regulatory changes occur. Purchasers receive access to the current edition.

What We Are Not

InfoBites Research does not provide legal advice, tax advice, or investment advice. Our toolkits are reference and research material — the best independent intelligence we can assemble on a given compliance domain. They are not a substitute for a licensed attorney or accountant who knows your specific situation.

We say this not as a disclaimer but as a genuine description of what we do. Our job is to make sure you understand the system well enough to work with professionals effectively — and to catch things that a professional in a different country might miss.

Frequently Asked Questions

What format are the toolkits delivered in?

Toolkits are delivered as protected PDFs, available for instant download after purchase. You can search, highlight, and share them with your accountant or attorney.

How do I receive the toolkit after purchase?

Purchase is completed via PayPal on crstrguide.com. A download link is delivered immediately after payment confirmation. You'll have lifetime access to the current edition.

Is the toolkit updated when regulations change?

Yes. When significant regulatory changes affect a toolkit's content, we update the document and make the updated edition available. You do not pay again for updates to a toolkit you've purchased.

Can I share the toolkit with my accountant or attorney?

Yes — you may share the toolkit with professionals advising you directly. Resale or redistribution is not permitted under the license terms.

Is this a substitute for a local attorney or CPA?

No. This is reference and research material — not legal or tax advice. The toolkit helps you understand the system and work more effectively with local professionals, not replace them.

Do you offer refunds?

Because toolkits are digital downloads, all sales are final. If you have questions about whether a toolkit is right for your situation, contact us before purchasing and we'll help you assess the fit.

Are more toolkits coming?

Yes. Mexico STR and Panama STR compliance toolkits are in development for 2026. Sign up on the homepage to be notified when they're available.

What language are the toolkits written in?

English, with Spanish-language terminology used where appropriate (agency names, legal terms, red-flag glossaries). Spanish source materials are reviewed directly by the author.
